Bring your date to Downtown Disney!

Every year after Thanksgiving, Disneyland changes into its Christmas theme. Christmas songs, lights, gifts, and anything else Christmas.

In Downtown Disney, you'll notice the change too. I was here last year and it was spectacular! On a cold night, bring a friend/date there to eat or drink! The trees are beautifully decorated and in certain areas, it makes you feel like you're in a dream. This picture of the trees doesn't do it any justice though. Regardless of the matter, you should still consider this place if you're looking for a romantic date place.

If you like snow, then you would like ice skating, too

A cool thing to do with your friends this winter is ice skating. Last year, I visited the Ontario Ice Skating Center, and I had a lot of fun. However, it takes a lot of bravery to go into the ice after you realize how slippery it is. After a few falls, I was able to skate, and I felt so proud of myself. Admission is $8, which includes skates rental.

Here is the link to their website for more info.

Winter + Rain = SNOW!!!

With Christmas on its way, there's no better way to enjoy this holiday then to freeze your butt off!

As you know, Southern California has been hit with some pretty cold storms. What this means is SNOW!! AND LOTS OF IT!!

At Mount High Snow Resort, they received 8-12 inches of snow this past week alone! So get your heavy jacket out and get ready to get the shivers. Even if you're not a snowboarder/skier, you can just drive up there with your friends or family and just enjoy the snow! Parking is free!!

Greener Christmas Decorations

After Thanksgiving week, our neighborhoods get filled with colorful lights, Christmas trees, reindeers, and Santas. It sure looks nice, but we also have to think about the energy being used and the trees that are being cut down. I believe we can always create balance, and here are some greener alternatives for your Christmas decorations. First, you can buy low energy Christmas lights instead of the regular lights. Secondly, you can reuse your decorations from previous years. Third, instead of buying a natural Christmas tree you can buy an artificial tree that can be reused for the following years. Finally, remember to recycle. Using recycled things for your decorations is a great idea. My mom made a Christmas wreath once out of corn husk. I also remember in kindergarten we made piƱatas out of newspaper. It just takes a little of imagination.

Gift Cards

It is Chritsmas time, and the question we all have is what should we give to our loved ones? Well, one of the best gifts for this Christmas will be a gift card. First, gift cards can be used at almost every store and can easily fit your budget since they have different prices. Secondly, the person who receives it will able to buy whatever he/she wants or needs. Therefore, your money will be used more wisely. Besides, during this economic crisis what most people need is just money. If you want to add a little feeling to your gift, along with your gift card you can give a letter, a chocolate box, or even a rose. Be creative!
